Meet Minh

Hello all,
My name is Minh Luong and I would like to share a story with whoever is reading this.
From a book by John Wooden, “Wooden on Leadership”
This story takes place in the mid west, back in the 40’s when times were slower.
A man drives up to a gas station right before he is about to get into the next town.
He asks the gas station attendant, “Hey I’m thinking about moving. How are the people in this town up ahead?”
The gas station attendant replies, “Well, how are people from where you’re from right now.”
The man replies, “They are mean, inconsiderate, and spiteful.”
The gas station attendant replies, “You’ll find the same type of people here.”
The man drives off never to return again.
The following day another man drives up to the same gas station and asks the attendant the same question.
“Hey, I’m thinking about moving. How are the people in the town up ahead?”
The attendant replies with the same question as the day before, “Well how are the people from where you’re from right now?
The man stops, thinks, smiles, and replies, “you know what, the people in my town are kind, caring, and considerate.
The attendant replies, “You’ll find the same type of people here.”

Now was the gas station attendant talking about the same town? Of course he was, what the wise attendant was trying to convey is that people generally get what they’re looking for. So if you go around trying to find the negative, and the ugly in people that is exactly what you’ll find. But if you look around and see the positive and the beautiful in people, you will not only notice that there are a lot of beautiful human beings around, but you’ll also find your outlook on life to be brighter.
I have been working at Talega Day Spa since 2008 and it has been a joy and a pleasure. I feel like I’ve grown into my own here and I thank everybody that has walked through these doors for helping shape who I am today. I graduated from the University California Riverside with a degree in business administration and a emphasis on marketing. However, at the time I graduated the housing market fell and jobs became scarce. I am a big believer in taking what life gives you. Life brought me Sue and Jeff who gave me a job folding laundry, then they allowed me to help run and manage the everyday business of the spa, I became a fully licensed massage therapist in 2009, and now I have become part owner of Talega Day Spa. Words can never express the gratitude I feel for Sue and Jeff for helping guide me. Going back to the story I shared from John Wooden, I feel that the people in our community are beautiful and wonderful. Thank you for coming in and brightening my day. I hope that my customer service exceeds all your expectations.

Jen Soto

My name is Jennifer Soto, a licensed therapist with 1000+ hours in massage training. I have had the pleasure of helping clients relieve their pain and maintain an overall balance for over 5 years, with 4 years here at Talega Day Spa. I have applied what I have learned over the years, to give each client the most out of each massage. My massage is very detailed and caters to each clients needs. My specialty is Deep Tissue with trigger point therapy; with a consistent flow to help my clients relax while addressing their problem areas

Note From Jen:
"Stress is well known for causing many ailments. Massage is the best treatment money can buy to help relieve stress and keep your body in balance. It is recommended and ideal to have a massage one to two times a week. So the more you can incorporate massage into your lifestyle, even if it is every other week or once a month, you are improving the overall wellness of your body."
Here is what a Client of Jennifer has to say,
"She cares about her clients, she listens to her clients, and her touch is one of healing and compassion. I have used many massage therapists over the years and each one has a unique style but none have had the skills of Jennifer. A massage whether for a medical condition, sports injury or just rejuvenation of spirit is a personal and relaxing experience. I can personally guarantee that a massage experience with Jennifer is one you will want to repeat over and over again. You will leave Talega Day Spa rejuvenated in mind and body, in addition to having made some very special freinds who are there to make your visit enjoyable and memorable"

Most people's steering wheels are too high. Lower it a couple of inches to about chest high. This will put less strain on your neck and shoulder blades.

This remains her passion and is what she incorporates into all of her bodywork.

One source of illness is a state of tension, which leads to resistance which blocks energy movement. Lomi Lomi helps release this and therefore facilitates the road to healing. Lomi works gently yet deeply into the muscles with continuous, flowing strokes, totally nurturing the body and enabling the recipient to relax, give in and simply be. Stress and tension are relieved blood and lymph flow assisted and the elimination of wastes and toxins stimulated. Lomi Lomi relaxes the nervous system, increases circulation and creates a tangible sense of well -being. It is useful for maintaining health and relieving pain from injury and debilitating illness. Mary Ann enjoys outrigger and SUP paddling... hula .. and her walks in the park with Rocky her small Kauai dog ....
