I was so incredibly pleased with Talega Day Spa! I make it a point to spa whenever I travel. This is the first time I have tried a spa in my hometown, and I was thrilled. I created my own package, doing a Hydrotherapy Treatment, Italian Sea Salt Scrub, Body Wrap, and Classic Pedicure. Every step of the way I was pleased. There was water and a snack waiting for me by the tub for my hydrotherapy treatment. The relaxation room utilized between treatments has snacks, water, and tea. The table for the body treatment was SO comfortable. Granted, I have been on everything from a wooden slab that looked like it had been cut down from a tree that morning (in rural Costa Rica) to a metal table (somewhere in the Caribbean), but really, their equipment was state of the art and lovely and I was MORE than comfortable the whole time. All of the therapists and staff were not only professional but welcoming and kind and I left there wanting to go back. The ambiance was nice, and all of my treatments left me feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. Though I generally give myself pedicures or go to the chop shop for a cheap one, I know from now on I will occasionally treat myself to one here because it was absolutely wonderful.
Tips for visiting:
Check out their website; they have specials online, including special packages of the month, featured therapists and treatments, etc. You can get a deal this way.
You can also get a "no frills" massage where you get the treatment without the robe and sandals, which is a cheaper option.
There are packages on the website if you are thinking of multiple treatments, but aren't sure what to get.
